Storytime at Bag of Books

Lewes is very lucky to have a dedicated children’s bookshop, housed in a lovely historic building at the end of Cliffe High Street and bottom of Chapel Hill.

They have a huge range of fiction and non fiction, games and tables and children are welcome to sit at a small table on dinasaur chairs and colour sheets while their parents or grandparents browse the bookshelves.

Storytime runs every Monday

Every Monday at 10.30 they run Storytime for young children where they sit in a circle and are read a range of new books.

Gift Subscription Service

If you are stuck for gift ideas the monthly subscription service is a real hit. Just fill in some information about the age and interests of the child and each month a book will pop through their letterbox – my grandchildren absolutely love it.

Author Visit

Regular author visits are a real hit. A recent visit from local author Jacqueline Wilson had children queuing a long time but I am told it was well worth the wait.
