… whose boutique, Rachel Skinner Millinery in Station Road seemed, like so many other creative shops in Lewes, to suddenly spring up out of nowhere! The vibrant window display had a range of amazing millinery and we had to explore further. The shop was shut at the time so further investigation online revealed an exciting and thriving business which set up in Lewes in May 2024.

Rachel Skinner describes her hats as “modern luxury design, meticulous detail, and an inherent charm so quintessentially British that clientele spans the Royal Family to the Rolling Stones”.

In addition to ready-to-wear and bespoke pieces, Rachel Skinner Millinery undertakes regular commissions for theatre, film, exhibition and television.
